One of the reasons this is such a great bow is because it has been through various changes in its lifecycle; the 2011 Blackhawk EZ draw is simply a progression of the Parker Blackhawk bow but it has a new and improved cam system which is Parkers in house "EZ-draw" cam. This is responsible for giving this bow a silky smooth draw - so much so that it is actually rated as one of the smoothest on the market.

Beginners often have problems pulling the string out on a bow but this one should be no real challenge even if you have never shot before. The Parker Ambusher measures just 28" so it is quite a small bow when put next to some of the others that were released around the same time. This makes it easy to carry and more importantly will make it more practical to get around.

The riser comes off very short limbs and itself is only 19". However, even in its slight size, it has an advanced reflex that means it your shots come off better every time. This might sound like jargon and if you are new then you simply have to try the bow to understand its true strength.

This compound bow has a single cam system that is fast enough to hold up to similar bows - it is rated at 320 FPS. This cam is adjustable so once again you can make easy adjustments as you need them - great for any situation.

The bow is fully accomplished and with the Inferno cam system at the heart of it you will be pleased to be in control. As mentioned above, thi helps to make it not only smooth but the draw stop pivots slightly meaning that you can make ultra fine alterations to your shot. The cam system has 2 modules that can be changed to suit your needs allow a draw width of 26-28" and the latter 29-31". This is both much quicker and simpler than compound bows of a few years back.

The frame is short making this a perfect bow for hunters, but it doesnt compromise on power. This can be seen from its brace height of 7.5" which also helps to add a little forgiveness.

It certainly looks the part and although cosmetics dont help to bow perform better, while some bows can look a bit clunky, that certainly isnt the case here and also has a comfortable two piece wood grained grip.

The Parker ARC cam system has been built to keep draws smooth but also to maintain arrow speed. It also makes draw-length changes easy with a quick module rotation. With other features such as the safety shelf to keep sharp broadheads away from your bowhand, and the string silencer system, the features more than warrant the premium price.

This bow would be better suited for anyone who is serious about bow shooting. It is very quick and yet lightweight and silent and the features more than make it good value for money. It might be a little costly for beginners but as a premium bow it does have a lot to offer.
