The T6 Aluminum riser is what helps to keep the weight down and the fully machined skeletal design helps to keep the bow precise. The field of view is impressively large thanks to the large sight window the bow has. The dual locking limb pockets have an anti vibration system making this also quite quiet and shock free and the draw weights range from 40-70lbs.

The draw length is 26-30" and can be alterered as the cam has a modular design like many new bows that have come out recently. The two main differences between youth and normal compound bows are mentioned below.

Both of these actually make the bow look, and feel much like any other mathews bows; if you have used them before and like them then this will be right up your street. On the other hand if you have never used one before then all is not lost - this will be a great bow to use to get familiar with the range.

The cam is a single cam system that is used in many others, but with some improvements. Its called the Z7 SoloCam and it is even smoother than the 2010 model. One of the reasons this is such a great bow is because it has been through various changes in its lifecycle; the 2011 Blackhawk EZ draw is simply a progression of the Parker Blackhawk bow but it has a new and improved cam system which is Parkers in house "EZ-draw" cam. This is responsible for giving this bow a silky smooth draw - so much so that it is actually rated as one of the smoothest on the market.

Beginners often have problems pulling the string out on a bow but this one should be no real challenge even if you have never shot before. You might be wondering what shooting a compound bow into the water is going to help with - the answer is bow fishing.

First of all, and the thing that is most evident about this bow, is just how amazingly smooth it is. It is hard to put it into words but this has to be one of the smoothest of the year.

Bear Archery's new cam - the E-cam - helps this and this is a remarkable feat - quite often new cams have teething issues and it takes a few tries to get it running just as good as this is. You have to take your hat off to them and if your are interested in this bow, it is worth the money for the draw alone.

The strings are another good feature here - they are specially constructed and have been stretched at the factory to make sure they are ready for use straight away and do not need to be worn in. The Contra-Band HP strings are fairly familiar and when you shoot the noise and vibration is almost non existent.

The PSE bow madness is a single cam bow that is similar technology that PSE use in some of their other range. As the old saying goes - if its not broke, why fix it, right? The Parker Ambusher measures just 28" so it is quite a small bow when put next to some of the others that were released around the same time. This makes it easy to carry and more importantly will make it more practical to get around.

The riser comes off very short limbs and itself is only 19". However, even in its slight size, it has an advanced reflex that means it your shots come off better every time. This might sound like jargon and if you are new then you simply have to try the bow to understand its true strength.

This compound bow has a single cam system that is fast enough to hold up to similar bows - it is rated at 320 FPS. This cam is adjustable so once again you can make easy adjustments as you need them - great for any situation.

The A2A length is 33 5/8" which seems about right for most others bows that have been announced and released for 2011. Most of them seem to be around 33-34 so this isnt an exception. This will help to make sure the bow is stable and even more so when trying to hit targets at a longer range.

The speed however does mean that the bow compromises on brace height - at just 5 1/2" this bow is surely only for those that can fire shots accurately without the need of the bow to compensate for them. At this height, its not an overly forgiving bow, but this is where the extra speed has been gained. With that said, while this bow might not give beginners their best experience, anyone with a little bit of know how will love the fact that when you hit the target dead on, it has been achieved by you, and you only. It's a great feeling and along with the power this can chuck out, you will be left craving more or the same.

Even at this speed the PSE omen pro shoots with very little shock which is helped by the Planar Flex riser and Centerlock pockets. It is a little heavier than some bows that are available and this is quite noticeable, however, its not heavy or awkward so this isnt really a negative spin on things.

OVerall, this bow is superb - good, fast shots and little noise and vibration is what most people are after; it is probably more suited to those that can hit the target with consitency as the forgiveness of this bow is very little. With that said, it will probably be one of the best shooting experiences you will have for a while.
