One of the reasons this is such a great bow is because it has been through various changes in its lifecycle; the 2011 Blackhawk EZ draw is simply a progression of the Parker Blackhawk bow but it has a new and improved cam system which is Parkers in house "EZ-draw" cam. This is responsible for giving this bow a silky smooth draw - so much so that it is actually rated as one of the smoothest on the market.

Beginners often have problems pulling the string out on a bow but this one should be no real challenge even if you have never shot before. In addition to that, weighing just 3.5lbs it means that it is easy to hold - your shooting arm will be able be fine while you hold your shot even if your muscles havent been built up through practice.

Another great thing about the bow is the riser - the quad-vent design is machined aluminum which has less material due to the way it is built which keeps it light.

If there is one thing that lets this bow down it is the speed. Rated at 290FPS it is not the quickest on the market and with many new bows able of 300FPS it is something that you would have thought they could have squeezed a little more out of. The small draw lengths keep the speed down, but with 80% let off the Parker Blackhawk EZ draw does feel like it has more power than it is rated at.

Lets not forget that this bow is all about one thing - being ultra smooth to draw. It has many top features in it and unless you need the fastest bow on the market, this would make an ideal purchase.

The PSE bow madness is a single cam bow that is similar technology that PSE use in some of their other range. As the old saying goes - if its not broke, why fix it, right? In this case, that is definitely true - the cam helps to give a good smooth draw while at the same time is rated at an IBO speed of 326FPS - this is faster than a lot of the other bows that are in the same class.

So far, So good.

But that isnt all from the cam just yet - it also has a 4" adjustable draw length which is quite impressive and this ensures that you are in control at all times. It is an easy change to make and you do not need a bow press to do it.

Also in its favour is the weight - its not just lightweight though, at just 3.5lbs this makes it one of the lightest on the market. The problem with some compact bows is that they can sometimes have more vibration than you are used to but this also isnt a problem on the PSE bow madness.

The PSE Bow madness is one of the lightest performance bows that you can get this year - the 2011 model improves it quite considerably and many people that have used them are impressed with just how smooth it is. This is an excellent bow for the money and it is well worth looking at.

Being compact, you might be worried about the performance, but there is no need to be. Its brace height (7 3/8") its not only generous but it is actually quite forgiving too. Speed and distance is most certainly not an issue here either, with speeds of up to 330 FPS will also give the kinetic energy required to shoot further.

The bow is new for 2011, but the Z7 Xtreme comes with the Mathews Reverse Assist roller guard which gives an amazingly smooth draw and is evident as soon as you start using it. One of the criticisms in a few other Mathews bows is the draw cycle, but this more than fixes that it.

It's also shock free - the original Z7 was as well, but the Xtreme is helped by being even quieter as well.

The bow does come with a higher price that some others; however, if you are looking for top quality then sometimes you have to be prepared to pay for it.

The limbs are precision-engineered and have pivoting Hyperlight Unibody pockets and although there is some flexing it is very forgiving. The NRG inner cam system helps to keep the bow amazingly quick and the bow can reach speeds up to 308 fps.

This bow would suit all ages and is available at bargain prices. This is one of the best value bows available although those with more experience might opt for the Martin Saber or higher end bow instead. One thing for sure, its hard to find fault with this bow for the price its available for.
